0.5 Part-Time KS1 Teacher

Job Introduction

Do you have the personality and people skills to join our thriving school TEAM?

We want someone ready to innovate, invigorate and inspire!

We are seeking an excellent practitioner to deliver the core curriculum of English and Maths to our KS1 children. You need to be enthusiastic and energetic and have the ability to work dynamically with the whole team to help drive our happy and successful school on its journey to offering the best possible education to our children.

We are looking for someone who is naturally positive with a ‘can do’ attitude and genuinely passionate about education.

Due to the school having a PAN of 20 children we operate in mixed classes. To facilitate this structure, we run an extra class in the mornings so that Year R can be taught separately. We are seeking an experienced teacher to work 5 mornings a week delivering the core curriculum to 20 of our wonderful KS1 pupils. The role comes with dedicated PPA time and would allow the post holder to focus solely on delivering the core curriculum of Maths and English.

Our school is:

  • A great place to work, genuinely welcoming and friendly in a beautiful setting;

“The sense of community and belonging is tangible here. Pupils behave exceptionally well.” Ofsted 2024

  • Collaborative, with a highly dedicated staff team,
  • A flourishing village school with over 150 years of heritage at the heart of the local community;
  • Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted at our recent inspection in November 2024;
  • A school graded with 'Excellence' and 'deeply committed to the pupils and parents' by SIAMs;
  • A C of E school that fosters an inclusive Christian ethos welcoming and respecting those of all faiths and none;
  • Ambitious and welcomes exciting new ideas.

We offer:

  • First and foremost, fantastic children. All of them are enthusiastic and willing learners, who live out the school core values of Courage, Care, Joy and Respect every day;
  • An experience driven curriculum full of engaging opportunities for children;
  • The support of positive, engaged parents and experienced, committed governors;
  • A picturesque village location just 4 miles from the historic city of Winchester, on the edge of the South Downs.

You will be:

  • An educator who wants the best for every child both in academic achievement and personal fulfilment;
  • A reflective learner who is keen to support all children to achieve their best.

School visits before application are encouraged and warmly welcomed and please take time to look through our schools website too! Neil Tunnicliffe, Headteacher, would be delighted to meet you and talk about the opportunities within our setting. Please call the School Office for an appointment: 01962 713358

 Applications: By application form to Mrs Rachel Emmett adminoffice@twyford-pri.hants.sch.uk

Closing Date: Friday 2nd May 2025
