Job/Person Summary

We are wishing to appoint an additional Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. Currently, the school is undergoing amalgamation and will remain on two sites until the building work is completed.

The role involves supporting pupils with EHCPs with their learning, predominantly on a 1:1 basis. The post is in Key Stage 1.

  • Regular Support Staff training to support you with the children with whom you will be working.

We would like to appoint a person who:

  • Is flexible, reliable and has personal resilience – an ability to start each day afresh.
  • Puts the child first and the safeguarding of pupils at the heart of everything
  • Can support children with additional needs who need adaptations to learning on a more 1:1 basis
  • Can build positive relationships with staff and pupils
  • Has some experience at working in a primary school (desirable) and potentially a Level 3 NVQ qualification.
  • Can demonstrate good subject knowledge in English and Maths.

This post will be for 27.5 hours per week and is a permanent role. Due to requiring consistency for the children with whom you will be working with the role is offered at 5 days a week term time only. The pay scale will be Grade B (£24,027- £24,348 pro-rata). We are looking for someone to start after Christmas.
