Lee-on-the-Solent Infant and Nursery School is highly inclusive; it is a place where childhood is protected and magic occurs. We are a high achieving school, where all children make great progress. This role will be fixed term working with a named child/children in receipt of EHCP funding. The length of contract will be dependent on the linked child/children.
The successful candidate will:
- Love children unconditionally with an unqualified positive regard for all
- Protect children’s childhood and value every child so that they value and believe in themselves
- Have previous successful experience of working with children
- Be able to work within and exemplify our LEAP values and Learning Behaviours
- Be a real team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Have excellent communication skills, relating well to children, colleagues and parents
- Have a calm, positive and kind approach
- Be able to work independently and with initiative
- Be resilient, flexible, organised and resourceful
- Have or be studying for NVQ2 or 3 or equivalent
- Have good academic skills, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C, including Maths and English (or an equivalent qualification demonstrating competency in these areas)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
