About Brockwood Park School

Brockwood Park School is a small, independent international boarding school located in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, with around 60 to 70 students aged 14 to 18 from all over the world. Brockwood Park is run by the registered charity, the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, together with Inwoods Small School, a Study Centre, and the Foundation.

Role Details

We are looking for a passionate English Literature teacher, eager to inspire students in a unique and inclusive learning environment. Our classes are collaborative, with small group sizes of 5 to 15 students, and free from the pressures of examinations, comparison, and competition. Students are encouraged to take genuine responsibility and agency in their learning, helping to create a supportive and engaging educational environment.

  • Hours: 9 hours per week, including planning and assessment time (flexible arrangement: 1 full day or 2 half days)
  • Rate: £26/hour
  • Start Date: 15th September 2025 with options for handover days between now and then as required

What we are looking for

  • Someone that has a strong academic background in English Literature.
  • Experience teaching A Level English Literature or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Someone who is committed to fostering independent learning, critical thinking, and creativity in the students.
  • Someone that is approachable, adaptable, and enthusiastic about contributing to Brockwood Park School's ethos.
