Role: Admin Assistant

Contract/Hours: Permanent, term time only plus one week

Salary Type: Support staff

Salary Details: Grade B1 – B3 (£22,737 - £23,058 FTE) Actual £16,173 - £16,401 

Hours of work: 30 hours per week (8.45am – 3.15pm with half an hour lunch break)


Swanmore CE Primary School is a large and popular primary school in the Meon Valley, within easy reach of Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester. We are looking to appoint a friendly, efficient and professional Admin Assistant to join our experienced admin team.

 

This role encompasses a number of important admin functions with responsibility for attendance, school dinners and school trips to name but a few!  Therefore, our ideal candidate must be able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and have the ability to multi task!  This is a fast paced role in a busy school office, but is incredibly rewarding and forms an integral part of the smooth running of the school’s administrative function.

 

JOB/PERSON SUMMARY

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills to confidently work with a wide range of stakeholders including children, staff, Governors, parents and visitors
  • Be able to multitask, prioritise and problem solve whilst remaining calm under pressure.
  • Be an experienced administrator, proficient in the use of software such as Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.
  • Have excellent English and Maths skills, minimum of GCSE Grade C (Grade 4) or equivalent
  • Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding young people
