Admin Assistant

Job Introduction

We are looking to appoint a part time Admin Assistant who is highly motivated and organised to join our office team and work alongside our Finance Officer

As the first point of contact for the school we are looking for someone who is able to balance the role of receptionist with their administrative responsibilities 

The Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:30am to 15:30pm term time plus one additional week throughout the year.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be the first point of contact for all visitors to the school, ensuring all visitors are signed in correctly in accordance with our safeguarding arrangements
  • Input registers using Arbor on a daily basis and using the school attendance procedures to follow up absences
  • Assist with any late pupils, signing them in and escorting to classes.   
  • Input school dinners on Arbor on a daily basis, liaise with the kitchen accordingly and ensure menus are kept up to date with the school and families
  • Liaise and work under the supervision of the Finance office regarding all main round and in year admissions.
  • Print off and change the weekly registers for classes, dinners, milk breakfast club and after school club
  • Have good ICT skills (experience of using Microsoft Office, Arbor and Tucasi would be an advantage)
  • Have excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Be able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Assist with cash, cheque and online payments as required
  • Administer First Aid and medicines as required (training will be provided)
  • Keep the office and reception area tidy, also sort and distribute any post and deliveries
  • Understand the need to deal with all matters in a confidential and professional manner
  • Be kind, calm and able to cope with frequent interruptions.
  • Any other tasks as required
