Job Introduction

This is a key role within our school and one where you will make a difference every day. There is potential for the role to be 22 hours a week, worked over 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) or 37 hours a week worked Monday-Friday if preferred. Person Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, welcoming, well-organised Administrative Officer to join our small office team.
This is a key role within our school where you will be the primary point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders. Flexibility is essential, together with the ability to be pro-active and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
We are looking for someone who:
Essential
- has experience of working in school administration/a finance environment
- can prepare, manage and monitor the annual allocated school budget alongside the headteacher and supported by Hampshire Educational Financial Services
- has experience using IBC/SAP, ScoPay and Arbor alongside other Hampshire school systems
- has experience of HR and payroll, in collaboration with Hampshire Shared Services.
- can use their initiative and has excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders
- is willing to administer first aid on children and adults and to support children with medical needs alongside the admin assistant.
- is dedicated and hard working and enjoy working with children
- can work under pressure with good time management skills
- has a calm and positive approach as well as a good sense of humour
- be able to form positive relationships with staff, children and parents
- can maintain high levels of confidentiality and is committed to the safeguarding of our children
Desirable
- has knowledge of leading staff recruitment processes and will undertake training in Safer Recruitment.
- has knowledge of advertising, marketing, website & social media platforms
- has knowledge of UKGDPR good practice.
- can ensure the effective administration of procedures, training and risk assessments related to Health and Safety
