Contract/Hours: Permanent. Term Time Only. 

Salary Details: Grade D or E, £27,780 - £36.369 FTE (depending on experience).

Hours of Work: 37 per week / 40 weeks per year (term time+ plus one week)

Location of Role: Ropley CE Primary School

Job/Person Summary

We are looking for an Admin Officer to join our wonderful village school.  

The successful candidate will be a happy, caring and enthusiastic person who will work closely with the admin assistant to deliver professional administrative support and have enthusiasm to work with pupils, parents and staff.

They must be flexible, first aid trained or willing to be trained and committed to supporting children with a variety of medical needs.

The successful applicant will need to:

  • Have experience working in administration, preferably as a school Admin Officer;
  • Experience in dealing with school admissions, penalty notice and writing healthcare plans would be beneficial but not essential;
  • Possess excellent IT skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel), IBC (SAP) Arbor, ScoPay and have experience with using the school budgeting system;
  • Provide a high standard of customer service with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • Be proactive in helping to establish admin systems for a busy office;
  • Enjoy working with children;
  • Use own initiative as well as work as part of a team;
  • Have a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to all aspects of the role;
  • Be able to multitask and prioritise calmly under pressure, dealing with all matters confidentially;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, including a good sense of humour.
