Job Introduction

We are looking for an individual who relishes a challenge within an already successful school (confirmed as 'Good' in our Ofsted inspection, September 2023), where the whole child, their successful learning and development are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking to appoint someone who who shares our vision of a highly effective education for all children, regardless of any barriers they may have. We are looking to invest in someone who is passionate about continuing to develop their practice and career (including someone who is perhaps considering training as a teacher in the future), someone who has high expectations of themselves, as well as the children in their care.

MAIN DUTIES

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCES:

• Ensure a caring and calm ‘front of house’, organising and prioritising parental and other appointments

• Responsibility for human resources administration relating to all teaching and support staff, including recruitment and management of administrative staff.

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROL

• Support the senior admin officer and headteacher in preparation, management and monitoring of the budget, including budget revision

• Maintain and access information systems to prepare financial forecasts and standard financial reports - Budget Planning with Headteacher (makes recommendations/ prepares budget / monitors spending)

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT

• Statistical returns as required by the LA and the DfE.

• Carry out necessary upgrade for Arbor and other admin software products

• Census and returns

ADMINISTRATION

• Maintenance of appropriate filing systems and inventory records.

• Manage preparation and word processing of all school correspondence and other documents.

WELFARE

• Tending sick children. Giving first aid including taking children to the hospital if necessary.

• To support children with personal cleanliness

• Assuming the role within Fire management plan

CURRICULUM SUPPORT

• To provide administrative support to teaching staff in the discharge of their curriculum and assessment responsibilities.
