Hours of Work: 20 hours per week
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Term time
Salary Details: Grade D (£12843 – £14130) dependent on experience
We are looking for a well-organised and experienced Admin Officer to join our busy and welcoming school team. The successful candidate will take a lead on Attendance and Admissions within our office team. They will be able to multitask, manage working with interruptions and prioritise their own workload. This role is for 20 hours a week and there is some flexibility around how these are worked in accordance with the needs of the school.
Key responsibilities will include:
● Administration of the admissions process for the school including closely liaising with Hampshire Admissions Team.
● Attendance administration, supporting in managing daily attendance tasks and overseeing attendance reporting and management including the Penalty Notice procedure.
● Possibility for the role to include being a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead as part of the Safeguarding Team.
● Communicating with parents and stakeholders, by email, telephone and face to face
● General school admin support
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
• Be committed to the safeguarding of children and colleagues
● Experience of working in a school administration environment
● Have a sound knowledge and experience of a range of computer systems, including Word, Excel and Arbor
● Have excellent general administrative and organisational skills
● Take a "can do" approach and have a positive disposition
● Have a caring nature with the ability to stay calm under pressure
