Job Introduction
Forest Edge Learning Federation, is a partnership of three small schools that work closely together to provide a quality education for the children in Breamore, Hale and Hyde. At our last OFSTED inspections, we were judged as good schools with outstanding for personal development.
We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic administration assistant to join our friendly federation team. The role is based at all 3 schools which will likely consist of one day at Hyde Primary school and 2 days at Breamore Primary School and 2 days at Hale Primary School. The post can offer flexible hours but will require a Thursday morning at Hale Primary School from 08:30am - 12:30pm. The role is termtime only with an additional 2 weeks in total worked during school holidays. The successful applicant's main role will be to assist the federation Business Manager to complete and monitor health and safety checks and attend courses to become proficient in undertaking health and safety responsibilities. In addition the role will include assisting the Business Manager to coordinate site projects which will involve close working with the federation site assistant. The successful applicant will also be required to cover the school office duties in the event of absence. Full training will be given for this role.
The successful applicant will:
- be motivated and be able to work independently and with initiative
- be a team player who has a ‘can do’ attitude
- have experience of working in an office environment, liaising with customers, good IT and telephone skills
- be caring and professional with a compassionate nature
- have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- have good time management skills and be able to coordinate projects effectively
- have an interest in health and safety and site projects
