Term Time, plus 1 additional week
Salary Details: Grade B: FTE £24,796 - £25,128 / Pro Rata: 32.5 hrs £19,108- £19,364

Forest Park School, is a Hampshire local authority maintained special school. We provide education for children and young people aged 2-19 years with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties, many of whom have autism. The split-site school (Primary and Secondary) is situated in Totton.

We are looking to appoint a highly effective and flexible Admin Assistant to join our team. We are seeking a hands-on, motivated individual to fulfil this key role within the school; you will often be the ‘face of the school’ on Reception. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence and willingness to work with the whole school community, becoming fully involved in all aspects of school life. You will be skilled in managing the wide range of tasks needed and have the administrative background necessary to support the Senior Administrative Officer and other members of the admin team.
We are looking for someone who:
- ideally has experience of working in a school or busy office
- is organised and a good communicator; smiley, friendly and polite
- is proficient in their use of MS Office programs and management information systems
- has experience of basic financial payment procedures to handle cash and record financial transactions
- is resilient, flexible and resourceful and is able to think on their feet
- has attention to detail
- knows to expect the unexpected; no two days are the same!
- has ability to operate independently as well as work as part of the team
- is calm, nurturing and caring
