Job Introduction
Hours: 3.30-6pm
Days: Thursday and Friday
Total: 5 hours per week Term Time.
We are looking for an after-school club assistant who has the ability to supervise groups of children, lead games and fun activities. By running our own in-house after school care, we benefit from knowing our children really well and use our school grounds to make after school time amazing! Staff are warmly encouraged to be creative, promote play and develop ideas with the children.
What skills and experience we are looking for:
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact with children and parents
- Have a calm manner and be pragmatic
- Have experience of working with children (incl. voluntary work) and deal effectively with any first aid needs
- Be able to deal with all matters in a confidential and professional manner
- Be flexible and able to use own initiative, multi-task and problem solve
- Have an awareness of health and safety in schools
- Clear knowledge and experience in all issues arising relating to the safeguarding of children
