Salary Details: £3,440 to £3,689 pro-rata salary dependent on experience and qualifications (pay award pending)

Hours of Work:   6 hours a week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3.15pm – 5.15pm, term time only (39 weeks)

Job/Person Summary

We are looking for a happy, enthusiastic and energetic play worker to join our amazing after school club (Twilight) team. Our Twilight club provides a safe, fun and child friendly environment for children to decompress after a day in school. You will be responsible for the good conduct, welfare and safety of the children and for organising play opportunities.

In this role you will:

  • Assist in the daily running of the after-school club
  • Assist in the planning and delivering of a variety of creative, play-based and active activities
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive and happy environment for all children
  • Supervise children
  • Maintain registers and records
  • Ensure the provision runs in line with school safeguarding and health & safety procedures

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
  • Is organised and reliable
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is enthusiastic about supporting children’s wellbeing and development
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare

Relevant training such as First Aid and Food Hygiene is desirable, although training can be provided in these areas for the right candidate.

The contracted hours for this position are 6 hours a week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3.15pm – 5.15pm. This is a term time only position (39 weeks).
