Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint a committed, innovative, and inspiring Assistant Headteacher (Research, Curriculum & Training) to join our Senior Leadership Team.
This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of teaching and learning across our school. You will form one half of a job share partnership with our Assistant Headteacher (In-Class Pedagogy & Practice), together providing the joint leadership of Teaching & Learning.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a part time post with availability on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Your role will focus on:
- Curriculum leadership – ensuring our curriculum is ambitious, inclusive, and research-informed.
- Assessment systems – leading moderation, data analysis, and reporting.
- Professional development – coordinating CPD across the school, including INSET, coaching, and twilights.
- Autism Education Trust (AET) training – acting as Lead Trainer Coordinator for Hampshire.
- Outreach strategy – overseeing and quality-assuring our support for other schools and settings.
We are looking for a leader who:
- Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with expertise in SEND and curriculum development.
- Has a proven track record of leading improvement in teaching, learning, or assessment.
- Can translate research and evidence into practical strategies that make a difference for staff and pupils.
- Is committed to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion.
- Will thrive in a collaborative leadership model.
