Dove House is seeking to recruit an exceptional Assistant Principal, with responsibility for Pupils Progress, to join our dedicated team and help drive the next phase of our school’s development.

Dove House is a popular, successful, and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, for students with severe learning difficulties and autism, aged between 11-19. We are proud to be an ‘Outstanding’ school but retain our passion to keep moving forward.

We are seeking an inspiring and compassionate leader committed to transforming the lives of children with special educational needs. 

As Assistant Principal you will work closely with the principal and senior leadership team to:

  • Ensure every pupil has a comprehensive Personalised Learning Plan
  • Lead Personal Development, including PSHA and Preparing for Adulthood
  • Support in the co-production and use of Pupil Support Plans
  • Be the academy’s Exams Officer
  • Be the named internal verifier for external accreditations
  • Lead on Pupil Premium

We welcome applications from those with proven leadership experience within an SEN or specialist provision as well as those who have strong SEN experience within a mainstream setting. You will have a proven track record of improving outcomes for children with diverse and complex needs whilst inspiring, motivating and supporting colleagues at every level.
