 Behaviour & Learning Support Assistant - Term Time 

 

Position Start Date: From 3rd November 2025

Contract/Hours: Fixed term until 31st August 2026 with the potential to be extended 

Salary Details: Grade C (£25,186.00 - £26,244.00 FTE) 

Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per weekMonday to Friday 8.20am-3.20pm, 40 weeks per year (Actual Salary £19,409.04 per annum before Tax and NI)

We are looking to appoint a friendly, calm, caring and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team. We are looking to appoint Behaviour and Learning support assistant to work with pupils who are part of the well-established Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) resource provisions and pupils across the federation.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Ideally experienced in learning support
  • Interested in working with pupils with SEMH needs and pupils with ASC needs
  • Highly inclusive and able to work within the ethos of ‘every day is a fresh start’ and to not bear a grudge
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Able to use their initiative
  • Capable of dealing with challenging situations
  • Able to work effectively with staff across the schools
  • Able to build a good rapport with children across the Primary phase from Nursery – Year 6
