Salary: - HCC Grade D FTE £28,697 - £31,573 (Actual £26,537.76 - £29,197.32
We are looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Supervisor to join our dynamic Pastoral Support Team as soon as possible.
This role will primarily be based in our Reflection & Resolution (R&R) area but may also spend time in our Learning Hub.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Reflection and Resolution (R&R) room, maintaining a calm, safe and purposeful environment with clear and consistent expectations
- Work as a key member of the Pastoral Team, supporting pupils to improve their behaviour, engagement and readiness to learn
- Plan, deliver and review targeted behaviour interventions within R&R, through individual and small-group work
- Help pupils to understand their behaviour, recognise its impact on others, develop effective strategies and successfully return to lessons
- Work closely with year teams, teachers and families to address repeated behaviour concerns and contribute to a co-ordinated graduated approach to support
- Supervise the Learning Hub for up to a 50/50 split basis during the school day
Reflection and Resolution (R&R) is a supportive provision within Swanmore College for pupils experiencing barriers to attendance, behaviour or engagement with learning. As part of our Pastoral Team, the Behaviour Support Supervisor will create a calm, purposeful environment and deliver targeted interventions, helping pupils reflect on challenges, develop positive strategies and build the confidence and skills to succeed in lessons and wider College life.
The Learning Hub is a structured provision within Swanmore College for pupils who have been removed from lessons following behaviour incidents. Pupils work independently and in silence, with clear expectations for conduct and engagement. Staff maintain a calm, purposeful environment, supervise pupils’ work and reinforce expectations to support a successful return to lessons.
