Behaviour Support Worker

Job Introduction

Job/Person Summary

We are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Worker to join our team. Candidates need to have experience of working in a school, or a similar setting, working with children with a variety of social and emotional needs. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent behaviour management skills including use of PACE
  • Be TALA trained or willing to be
  • Have the ability to work independently
  • Be patient, calm, resilient and enthusiastic
  • Be well organised, adaptable and flexible
  • Be able to form strong relationships with children and adults
  • Have excellent communication & interpersonal skills

The appointed person will need to provide proactive strategies to support identified children, raising children's self-esteem and confidence.  They must also be able to respond positively to a family/child in immediate difficulties by helping to create positive resolutions to difficult situations.
