Job start date: Monday 5th January 2026

Contract / hours: Fixed term maternity cover, 6.25 hours per week (7:30 – 8:45am) term-time only

The Butts Primary School is looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic, flexible and caring adult to cover maternity leave of one of our team at Breakfast Club.  We require a Breakfast Club Assistant who can work every weekday during school term time between 7.30am and 8:45am.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Breakfast Club Assistant to cover maternity leave who will:

  • support, maintain and nurture our caring community and ethos
  • supervise and help the children whilst eating
  • ensure the welfare and safety of children at all times
  • be patient, cheerful and understanding
  • be a team player, able to inspire and work in partnership with staff, parents and pupils
  • keep the breakfast club environment clean and tidy

Previous experience of working or volunteering in a school or nursery setting would be beneficial but is not essential.
