Job Introduction
We are looking for a member of staff to join our school team as a Breakfast Club assistant.
Role
To supervise the daily operation of the school's Breakfast Club, providing a safe and caring environment for children before school hours. The role involves preparing and serving breakfast, and being part of the team delivering activities for the children.
The role is Monday to Friday 7.45am to 8.45am - Term Time Only.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children attending the Breakfast Club and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- Deliver activities after the children have eaten.
- Prepare and serve a healthy breakfast, following hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Ensure children behave appropriately and follow school rules.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and school staff.
- Ensure a clean and tidy environment at the beginning and end of each session.
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Person Specification
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting would be advantageous.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
