Business Manager

Job Introduction

After many years working at Swaythling Primary School, our Business Manager is leaving.  We are therefore looking for a new Business Manager and are delighted to advertise this exciting opportunity at our school.  

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Manager to play a crucial role in our strategic and operational leadership.  The Business Manager will work closely with the Headteacher and be a part of the Senior Leadership Team.  They will have responsibility for assisting with the strategic vision and day to day operations relating to, budget, finance, human resources, premises, health and safety and communication. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is highly skilled and motivated
  • Is efficient and organised
  • Can lead on Business operations
  • Can manage our contracted arrangements
  • Can lead a team of administrators and site staff
  • Has proven financial experience
  • Possesses excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Can maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a successful team, show initiative and be flexible at all times
  • Has a caring, cheerful and conscientious disposition
  • Shows resilience and determination
  • Has a good sense of humour
