Job Introduction
We are looking for a proactive and motivated person to join our school team to help provide a healthy and safe environment for the children at Oakley Infant School.
We will need you to be able to:
- Carry out essential Health and Safety checks (an understanding of COSHH, Legionella, asbestos and fire safety are desirable)
- Undertake a range of minor repairs, maintenance and decorating
- Able to access email and basic IT skills
- Liaise and oversee outside organisations for repairs
- Take pride in the school’s presentation both inside and out, overseeing the cleaning regime in the school
- Complete some grounds work ensuring the site remains safe for all stakeholders

The post is Monday-Friday for 12 hours a week. The successful candidate must be able to unlock the school at 7.15am but the other hours could be flexible. The role is for 52 weeks a year but can be compressed during school holidays. This is a Grade B post - Pro-rata Salary: £7,373 - £7,477 (FTE £22,737 - £23,058)
Visits to the school are welcomed.
