Hours: 25 hours a week (Current hours are 7am to 10am and 3.45pm to 5.45pm, Monday to Friday but we will consider being flexible)

Job/Person Summary
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person who has a range of good practical skills, to join our successful school to keep our site safe, clean and in good repair. The successful candidate will be pro-active and take pride in their work and our school. This role is suited to a person who enjoys DIY alongside active, outdoor work. The successful applicant will also need to be organised, flexible, thorough and willing to contribute to the life of the school. Basic literacy, numeracy and computing skills are essential and a sense of humour helps on those days when everything seems to happen at once!
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Manage the school site, grounds and buildings
- Take responsibility for locking/unlocking daily and securing the site
- Ensure that the contract cleaners are performing to a high standard
- Complete regular health and safety checks and keep all records up to date
- Arrange and liaise with contractors on site
- Undertake a range of minor repairs, maintenance and decorating
- Work in a flexible manner for the needs of the children and the school
- Take pride in helping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety at all times
- Manage stock ordering and cleaning supplies
- Be a positive and professional face of our school community
Experience is an advantage although not essential as training will be given to the successful candidate.
