Casual Admin Assistant

Job Introduction

Preston Candover CE Primary school are looking for an admin assistant to join our school office one day a week on a casual basis to work in our friendly school office. Our ideal candidate will have confident IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email and MIS systems to enable the effective administrative running of the school. They will also need to have the ability to work quickly, be self-motivated, flexible, trustworthy and have excellent organisation skills. We are looking for an individual who works well both independently and within a supportive team, and have the ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Support the Headteacher through assisting with reports, documentation, and communication
  • Proficiently use Arbor and Microsoft Office;
  • Manage parts of the school website and policy schedules; 
  • Support school communications and social media; 
  • Have high levels of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
  • Have GCSEs English and Maths (Grade C or above); 
  • Have a good understanding of confidentiality;  
  • Have the ability to work calmly and professionally under the Headteacher and Admin Officer and be able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Have relevant administration experience
