Could you be part of our friendly team, ensuring students eat a tasty and healthy meal each day? As a Catering Assistant working in a busy school kitchen, you’ll help prepare, cook and serve lunch to pupils. You’ll also carry out other kitchen tasks, including cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen.
In this varied role you’ll need to:
• Put away deliveries, rotate stock and carry out quantity, temperature and quality checks
• Load and unload the dishwasher
• Pot wash as needed
• Follow specified portion control guidelines and special dietary requirements
• Operate cashless till system
• Keep to Yateley School and Hampshire County Council health and safety, food safety and hygiene procedures
• Demonstrate flexibility
If you have experience of working in a catering environment that would be an advantage, but it’s not essential as full training will be given.

Hours of work will be 10.20am – 2.20pm Monday-Friday, term time only.
