We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and dedicated individual who is passionate about teaching and truly wants to improve outcomes for all pupils so that they can go on to be successful, happy and positive members of society. 


Orchard Lea Junior school is federated with Orchard Lea Infant school. As the federation develops, there will be many wonderful opportunities, for anyone starting with us, to play an instrumental role in supporting both schools in achieving the federation vision. Orchard Lea Junior School is a Good school. It is two form entry with extensive grounds and a spacious building. The successful applicant will complement the dedicated team of professionals who provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating learning experience for the children of Orchard Lea Junior.

We are looking for someone who:

 

  • Is passionate about teaching and education and has a drive to make a difference to all children;
  • Is open and committed to developing our federation vision;
  • Is a teacher with a proven record of high-quality, inclusive teaching and secure subject knowledge;
  • Is able to inspire, motivate and engage children through their practice and classroom;
  • Has experience of teaching in KS2;
  • Has experience of successfully leading a subject (desirable but not essential);
  • Is willing to get involved with all aspects of school life including trips and residentials;
  • Has a good understanding of assessment strategies which make a difference;
  • Reflects on their own practice and values their professional development;
  • Works effectively as part of a team and has good communication skills;
  • Has high regard for safeguarding pupils.

 

This is a wonderful opportunity for either an experienced teacher and we would strongly recommend all applicants to visit our school and meet the Head of School. 

We can offer this position part-time 3 days a week - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
