An opportunity has arisen for an experienced KS1 teacher to cover maternity leave (temporary contract until 31/08/2025) at Sopley Primary School to start asap.
The Federation of Burley and Sopley Primary Schools consists of two small village schools; one in the heart of the New Forest and the other surrounded by a picturesque rural community.

We love being outdoors and we believe in continuous provision and play based learning for our lower school children. We are lucky enough to have beautiful bright classrooms, large grounds, a stunning Secret Garden - with a polytunnel, vegetable patch, fruit cage, eco watering system, wild flower mound - and a brand new pond and jetty for pond dipping!
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate teacher who loves the outdoors and believes in learning through play to join our existing team where you'll play a pivotal role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our children.
You will be at the forefront of our mission to inspire a love for learning, curiosity, and the essential skills that set the stage for academic and personal success.
You will:-
design and deliver dynamic and interactive lessons, covering a broad and balanced curriculum.
foster a love for learning through hands-on activities, creative projects, and play-based learning.
build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning community.
create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued, respected, and inspired to learn.
be responsible for achieving the best possible standards in work and conduct for all pupils in the classroom and the outdoors and to promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils within the school
