Class Teacher for Resourced Provision (SEMH)

Job Introduction

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced teacher to join the Federation of Trosnant Schools, as the class teacher for our Resourced Provision (SEMH).

The provision currently has places for eight key stage one and two pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and its effectiveness in meeting these needs is recognised in our last OFSTED report and in the outcomes of its pupils.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the inclusion of all children, experience supporting the SEMH needs of vulnerable pupils, and be an exceptional class teacher.

The role will also include:

  • Ensuring the effective day to day management of the Resourced Provision
  • Acting as class teacher within the provision
  • Line managing and supporting the continued professional development of our learning support staff within the provision
  • Contributing to the effectiveness of our federation by sharing their expertise and experience in the mainstream schools

The role is an opportunity to develop leadership skills, enabling the post holder to work towards the position of Teacher in Charge of the Resourced Provision.

The Assistant Headteacher / SENCo (Inclusion) will provide effective support and mentoring, for the post-holder and initially act as Teacher in Charge.

The Federation believes strongly in effective CPD, and there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their particular strengths and interests.
