Come and join our amazing village primary school!

We have a lovely class of 31 year 3 children who love learning! They need an outstanding teacher who loves developing exciting learning opportunities. Their current 0.6 teacher is going off to have her first baby and she is very sad to be leaving while the weather starts to improve and our gorgeous school grounds start to come alive. The children hope that you are the person they are looking for……..

We can offer you:

  • 31 children who are enthusiastic learners
  • A fantastic learning environment with fields and woodlands outside
  • A supportive team of colleagues who are friendly and welcoming
  • Opportunities to develop professionally
  • A school that has been recognised as ‘good with an outstanding feature’ by Ofsted (May 2023)
  • Membership of a cluster of schools who network together
  • Designated PPA time that you can work at home
  • Being a partner school with Fischer Family Trust with amazing resources to teach reading and spelling
  • Lots of cakes and biscuits in the staffroom!

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is excited by teaching Year 3 in the primary phase and has experience of a primary school
  • Values children and has an understanding of how they learn
  • Has the ability to inspire and motivate children
  • Has high expectations of children’s attainment and behaviour
  • Has good organisational skills
  • Wants to ‘STRIVE for Success’

This post is for maternity cover and we expect this to last until the end of July. We would welcome application from experienced teachers who fancy a change of school or colleagues who want a break from supply teaching. The subject leader aspect of the role can be discussed and would be ‘caretaking’ a foundation subject that interests you.

Application procedure:

Visits to our lovely school are warmly welcomed. Please contact our office staff to arrange an appointment.

The application form and further details are available on our website.
