This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on additional responsibility for raising standards in writing across the school, alongside wider leadership responsibilities within the Senior Leadership Team, for the right candidate.

We are looking to appoint a part-time teacher to become part of a strong teaching team in our small, village Primary School.  We run a mixed-age class structure.  We have a vacancy for 2 days a week (or 3 days per week with a TLR2).

For candidates seeking career progression, there is an opportunity to take on a TLR2 for Writing Leadershipwhich will include:

  • Leading the development of writing across the curriculum
  • Supporting colleagues with planning, assessment and moderation
  • Driving improvements in pupil outcomes in writing
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of provision
  • Reporting to the SLT and Governing body

The post holder will also undertake wider SLT responsibilities, contributing to whole-school improvement, depending on experience and strengths.  This role would have up to a day a week of leadership time/PPA.

We are proud of our broad and rich curriculum, which we aim to deliver through memorable and exciting learning opportunities. Our children are a delight to work with and the whole staff team are committed to nurturing each unique child, in a community where positive relationships are at the basis of all that we do.

We value high quality CPD and aim to work to people’s strengths, in order to bring out the best in our children.  We believe that children learn best when they feel safe and secure and we place great importance on developing children’s mental and emotional health.  Our Behaviour Policy is summed up by our three school rules: Be Kind; Be Respectful; Be the Best You Can Be.  Our Christian Values of Love, Courage and Hope underpin the daily life of our school and we enjoy strong links with the community.
