Job Introduction

Velmead Junior School is a popular, successful and outward looking school.  Our school is a friendly, child centred place to learn and work.

We are looking to appoint a full time classteacher to join our team from September 2026.  This role is advertised as a temporary 1 year contract, however, there is a strong possibility of it becoming a permanent role in September 2027.

The suitable candidate will be:

  • a teacher who is consistently good or better, with the ambition and capacity to be an outstanding teacher;
  • someone with high expectations of pupils in all aspects of school life;
  • a practitioner who values each child as an individual and who is able to inspire them all to achieve their potential;
