Hours of Work:
15 hours per week, 3 hours per day. Times to be agreed with successful candidate.
43 week contract - term time of 39 weeks plus 4 additional weeks to be spread across HCC school holidays. Dates of additional weeks to be agreed with successful candidate.
Please note – an additional 10 hours per week may be available based on local need. Please specify on your application if interested.

Job/Person Summary
We are a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing school looking for someone to join our friendly team of staff as our cleaner is retiring after many years of service. The successful candidate will act as the primary cleaner for the site, supporting all areas of the school including reception, classrooms, group areas, toilets and hall. This role will be a permanent, part-time role with the working hours being open for discussion.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience cleaning a large site, preferably a school
- Is organised and able to prioritise cleaning tasks and activities
- Takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, to create a safe, hygienic environment
- Can work with other staff as required, eg caretaker
- Will follow school policies including Health and Safety and COSHH
- Will work to ensure Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and to report any concerns in accordance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy.
