Job Introduction
The Governing Body of Freegrounds Junior School is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Clerk to Governors. This is a key administrative role, supporting the efficient functioning of the governing body, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and circulate agendas, minutes, and supporting documents for governing body meetings.
- Attend and take accurate minutes at full governing body meetings and committee meetings.
- Maintain an up to date register of governors, a record of governor attendance and terms of office.
- Provide advice to the governing body on governance, procedural, and legal matters.
- Maintain the governing body’s documentation, including policies, reports, and key governance papers.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with governors, staff, and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of minute-taking and meeting administration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A good understanding of governance procedures and education-related legislation (desirable, but not essential).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office software
Hours of work:
6 hours per month
