Hollywater School is a school for pupils aged 4-19 with complex learning needs. We set high but realistic expectations for all and encourage everyone to discover the joy of learning so that they may thrive, gain independence and be given every opportunity to achieve their full potential to be as independent as possible in their adult life. We recognise that the personal development of pupils spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, plays a significant part in their ability to achieve and learn and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experience of adult life.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and conscientious cover teacher to join our fantastic team. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching across all key stages and SEN experience would be desirable. You should be:

  • Highly effective in meeting a wide range of needs within the classroom
  • Able to challenge and motivate pupils 
  • Committed to accelerating pupil progress for all children
  • Able to affectively contribute to a successful team
  • Able to develop and maintain a culture of high expectations for yourself and others
  • Be Flexible on a day to day basis and move around the school when needed.
  • Have a good sense of humour

 

Applicants should have:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written 
  • Hold QTS 
  • Previous experience in working within an SEN school environment.
