Job Introduction
Due to the promotion of our previous Deputy, the governors are looking to appoint an inspiring Deputy Headteacher to take up post in September 2025. The role will work alongside our Headteacher, to continue our journey of school development, whilst also having a teaching responsibility.
Andover CE Primary School is a one form entry school, based in a beautiful Grade II listed building in the centre of Andover. We have a strong Christian ethos based around the values of Love, Courage and Forgiveness.
We would like a Deputy Headteacher who:
- Is a highly effective teacher and leader of learning, with experience of delivering a broad, rich and varied curriculum that meets the needs of every child
- Has a creative and innovative approach to curriculum planning to encourage children to become lifelong learners
- Understands and can articulate the importance of systematic, regular, and accurate assessment and its importance in securing good outcomes for all children
- Is committed to Safeguarding in the role of DDSL
- Is a skilled communicator, able to work alongside all stakeholders and the wider community
- Is able to uphold the Christian ethos of the school.
