.Job/Person Summary

The Deputy Headteacher will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in delivering a high-quality inclusive education for all pupils. The role is central to shaping the vision and strategic direction of the school, ensuring excellent outcomes for all pupils, including those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged.  They will play a key role in leading curriculum development, assessment, and support the EHT with school improvement planning.

The successful candidate will act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and be responsible for upholding policies on Health and Safety, Child Protection, and Safeguarding. Additionally, they will deputise for the Executive Headteacher when required

  • Passionate about high-quality teaching and learning, with the ability to support staff in developing their pedagogical practice.
  • Experienced in managing school performance, using assessment data to drive improvement.
  • Skilled in promoting high standards of behaviour and professionalism amongst both staff and pupils.
  • Committed to continuous professional development and fostering a culture of innovation and best practices.
  • Knowledgeable about evidence-based teaching and learning strategies, particularly in supporting pupils who are not meeting age-related expectations.
