Job/Person Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Fair Oak Family in the spring term as a deputy to our Site Manager, working 9am-2pm and 3.30-6pm, Mon-Fri, term time only
Ours is a very busy school with every day being different to the one before. The person joining the Site Team in this role needs to be calm, kind, flexible, reliable and hard-working AND they must have a great sense of humour.
The main duties will include:
- Cleaning – classrooms, toilets and shared areas
- General maintenance – building maintenance and grounds maintenance
- Responding to site visitors/ contractors, especially if the Site Manager is not available
- Assisting the Site Manager with Health and Safety requirements.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience or skills of a trade or experience of a caretaking role.
- Be able to operate and understand electrical /mechanical systems
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be confident using IT.
- BE able to understand and apply regulations such as Health and Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH etc. Or they will be willing to learn.
- Have initiative, a team spirit and a great sense of humour.

Fair Oak Junior School is a vibrant five-form entry school which shares an amazing campus location with Wyvern Nursery, Fair Oak Infant School and Wyvern College – nearly 3000 children aged from 9 months to 16 years learn across our schools each day.
