Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint an ELSA to join our wellbeing team. Our ELSAs are central to the wellbeing of our pupils and the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting pupils’ as they progress through Toynbee.
The ideal candidates should demonstrate resilience, empathy, patience and a passion for working with and assisting young people to learn. There are good opportunities for career progression and previous experience is not essential. Candidates must have proven literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE grade C and above. Candidates may either have completed ELSA training or be willing to undertake ELSA training.
This post is particularly aimed at those looking to gain experience of working in a secondary school setting who wish to support the emotional wellbeing of young people. The role of the ELSA is extremely valued by pupils, parents and staff at Toynbee.
