EYFS/ KS1 Class Teacher

Job Introduction

Year R/ Year 1 Teacher – Full time, permanent position - Starting September 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our team, leading our mixed-age Reception

and Year 1 class.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with a passion for Early Years education and a commitment to helping young children develop a love of learning. Experience within EYFS is essential, and experience in Year 1 would be highly desirable. For candidates with leadership aspirations, experience of senior leadership would be an advantage.

 We are seeking someone who:

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning 
  • Has high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and wellbeing 
  • Possesses strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills 
  • Is eager to develop professionally and embrace future leadership opportunities 
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team and brings a positive outlook and sense of humour 
  • Is adaptable, flexible and able to respond to the needs of a small, dynamic school 
  • Creates an engaging, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child can flourish 
  • Has a strong understanding of the Early Learning Goals and the EYFS curriculum 
  • Has the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead and develop provision across EYFS and Key Stage 1
