Job Introduction
Full time LSA (with some HLTA hours) – Reception and Year 1
We are looking to appoint a committed and dedicated LSA, who has got HLTA status if possible to undertake some PPA cover in afternoons.
Selborne C of E (Aided) Primary School is a small, friendly, rural school, with a strong reputation within the community. Our children are supported by a dedicated team who work together to achieve the highest standards possible and who are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
We are looking for someone who:
- · Has a robust approach to safeguarding and understands it is everyone’s responsibility to keep children safe
- · Has HLTA status (or equivalent) and has experience of working in a Reception or KS1 class
- · Is friendly but professional and discrete maintaining confidentiality at all times
- · Has a calm and positive approach
- · Demonstrates excellent communication skills with children and adults verbally and written
- · Can support children with a range of needs
- · Has an optimistic attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job
- · Demonstrates empathy with our Church school ethos and our Christian values
- · Has high expectations for behaviour and learning for all children and demonstrate a commitment to inclusion
- · Is passionate about raising achievement and supporting children’s wellbeing
- · Enjoys working as part of a small team
