Job Introduction
EYFS Teacher
Join Our Strong EYFS Team!
We’re excited to offer a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Early Years Foundation Stage teacher to join our thriving team at Nightingale Primary School. This vacancy has arisen as a result of internal promotion and staff stepping into exciting new roles — and now we’re ready to welcome someone new to make their mark.
We are looking for someone who brings energy, care and creativity to the classroom, and who recognises the power of play, talk and exploration in shaping strong early foundations. Whether you’re just starting your teaching journey or already have experience, we have the capacity to support you, develop you and help you thrive.
At Nightingale, our EYFS team is passionate about outdoor learning and making the most of our fantastic environment — including our woodland area, gardening patch and large recreation field. We believe children learn best when they’re immersed, active and curious. If you share that view, we want to hear from you.
We are a Read Write Inc. (RWI) school, with the programme fully embedded into our daily practice. In EYFS, this means phonics is taught with consistency, pace and purpose — giving our youngest learners the best start. Full training will be provided for the right candidate as part of our commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
We offer:
- A welcoming, inclusive and supportive school community;
- High-quality, focused CPD tailored to your needs and career stage;
- An inspiring outdoor learning environment that is part of daily EYFS life;
- A well-structured curriculum that encourages creativity and confidence;
- A skilled and experienced team to work alongside;
- 380 delightful, hardworking children who love to learn;
- A successful track record of nurturing Early Career Teachers;
- A dedicated support staff team and committed senior leaders;
- Strong links with parents and governors;
- Teacher handbooks and planning frameworks to make your job easier;
- Wellbeing and self-care embedded into our culture (including our school dog, Bow!).
We are looking for someone who:
- Brings joy and positivity to their work;
- Is reflective, open-minded and keen to keep learning;
- Understands the importance of relentless routines, first attention for best conduct and high expectations in EYFS;
- Values collaboration and teamwork;
- Believes in our vision and values, and the right of every child to belong.
