EYFS / Year 1 Class Teacher (with opportunity for TLR3 project responsibility)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced EYFS practitioner to join our team from September 2026, teaching within one of our two mixed Reception/Year 1 classes.

This role would particularly suit a teacher with strong expertise in learning through play and continuous provision, who is passionate about supporting young children to develop independence, confidence and early communication and writing skills through a carefully planned environment.

About the role

The successful candidate will:

  • teach within a mixed Reception/Year 1 class
  • plan and deliver high-quality provision-based learning alongside structured teaching
  • create an engaging learning environment that supports independence and curiosity
  • contribute to strengthening transition between Nursery, Reception and Year 1
  • work closely with our EYFS Lead and wider EYFS team
  • play an active role in the continued development of our early years provision following the recent opening of our school nursery

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of strong continuous provision across the early phase of the school.

Additional opportunity: TLR3 project responsibility

There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to lead a TLR3 project focused on strengthening learning through play and continuous provision across our Reception/Year 1 classrooms.

This work will take place in partnership with our EYFS Lead and forms part of our ongoing school improvement priorities.

We would particularly welcome applications from teachers with experience of developing high-quality continuous provision and learning through play in EYFS environments.
