Job Introduction
Our recently graded OUTSTANDING nursery (May 2025) currently has a new vacancy for an Early Years practitioner due maternity leave of the current postholder, to provide high quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 2 – 4 years old.
In the first instance, this post will be from April 2026 until Easter 2027 with the potential to extend.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, kind and patient, and who has an excellent knowledge and understanding of how children learn in their early years. You will enjoy engaging and interacting with young children both in an educational and play setting and be someone who is able to use initiative when working independently, as well as being someone who works well in a team. Work will also involve some 1:1 SEN support, experience of working with children with SEN would be an advantage.
Previous experience of working with young children in a school or nursery setting is desirable. Ideally you will have evidence of ongoing professional development. Early Years NVQ Level 3 or a willingness to undertake this qualification in the job (fully funded) is required for the role.
