Early Years Practitioner – Wallisdean Pre-School

Job Introduction

Hours of Work: 22.75 Hours 8.30 am - 3.15 pm Mon/Thurs/Fri and 9-12 Tues (could be discussed at the interview) Extra hours in our wraparound club are also available.


Job/Person Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Wallisdean Pre-school. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised, and highly motivated early years practitioner to join our outstanding Pre School.  You must be committed to high standards, have a passion for understanding how young children learn, and have a sound understanding of the Early Years. As we are a federation, there is an opportunity to work across the federation

 Essential criteria:

  • Relevant Early Years qualification Level 2 or 3 (or working or willing to work towards a level 3) or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of the early years Foundation stage
  • Basic IT skills, such as using iPads and laptops for recording and writing observations   
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or Grade 4 (New GCSE) Please ensure grades and qualifications are noted on your application

Desirable Criteria: 

  • Paediatric First Aid qualification 
  • Experience working in an Early Years environment
