About the Role:

We're seeking an English Teacher to meet the exceptional demand for our services.

As an English Teacher at Yarrow Heights School, you'll tailor the curriculum to meet each child's needs, ensuring they gain essential skills and knowledge for success. You'll ensure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher and Education Leadership Team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Teaching and providing effective delivery of the English curriculum.
  • Monitoring, recording and reporting on student progress.
  • Contributing to and assisting in implementing initiatives related to the School Development Plan.

About Us:

  • Yarrow Heights School is a mixed 7-19, local authority funded, SEN day school for children, most of who are able learners with an EHCP and a diagnosis with ASC and associated needs.
  • At Yarrow Heights every pupil is valued and treated as an individual and with respect. We are a team with extensive experience and expertise in special education and therapeutic support for pupils whose needs can no longer be met in a mainstream provision. Job Details:

Full-time

Salary: Up to £45,500 per annum dependent on experience

Location: Southampton, SO18 1FS.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: Teaching experience in mainstream and/or SEN secondary schools.

Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required; Newly qualified teachers welcome to apply.
