Examinations Invigilator 

Salary: A3 £12.71 per hour 

Contract type: Casual between 7.30am and 4pm

Are your reliable, observant and calm under pressure? John Hanson Community is seeking organised and responsible Exam Invigilators to join our team and help ensure that examinations are conducted in accordance with JCQ regulations and school procedures. If you’d like to help us uphold the integrity of the examination process and support students at this important time, we’d love to hear from you. 

 

As an Exam Invigilator you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the examination process. 


Duties will include: 

 

  • Preparing the exam room before students arrive
  • Distributing and collecting exam papers and materials
  • Supervising students during exams to ensure a fair and secure environment
  • Recording attendance and dealing with any issues that arise in line with exam regulations. 

 

This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible, part-time work during the school year – particularly during the main exam season (May – June, plus November and March). 

 

We are looking for someone who is: 

 

  • Reliable, punctual and professional 
  • Calm and confident when managing groups of students
  • Attentive to detail and able to follow strict procedures
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team

 

Previous experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. Successful applicants will be required to supervise these exams on days agreed in advance. You will also be required to attend an annual training session. 

 

Working Hours: between 7.30am and 4 pm, term time only.
