Examinations Officer - Portchester Community School

Job Introduction

Term Time only plus three weeks (42 weeks)
32.5 hours per week.  

Due to the retirement of our existing Examinations Officer, we are seeking to appoint a highly organised and committed individual to oversee all aspects of examinations management.  The Examinations Officer is responsible for organising and running both internal and external examinations. They also support the Deputy Headteacher in collecting and producing data reports to support learning.  Ideally the candidate will have experience in a school / college setting and either have worked within this field or administration. There is a requirement to be competent in using IT, and management information systems.

The role will include;

  • Working closely with the Deputy Headteacher around everything to do with examinations, data, and reporting
  • Communicating with examination boards and ensuring examination entries are entered accurately and on time (GCSE and Vocational qualifications)
  • Communicating to Subject Leaders about entries, examination boards and changes to any procedures
  • Collecting and collating data sets and ensuring accuracy during the academic year to support Subject leaders and Year Leaders
  • Producing the data reports to be sent home to parents

The postholder will also be responsible for fulfilling the safeguarding requirements of the role and adhering to the school’s Safeguarding Policy.
