Excellent Upper school class teacher

Job Introduction

Are you 'our person'?

We're unexpectedly looking for a KS2 teacher to join our friendly, happy teaching team and work with our engaged and motivated children from January 2025.  At Stockbridge, we place strong emphasis of development of the whole child and have a rich curriculum rooted in real life experiences.  Our children love coming to school, they want a teacher who will get to know them, value what they bring to the cohort and provide them with challenge and well rounded learning opportunities.

We engage with our local community well and use the bustling High Street and surrounding natural areas to enhance our curriculum. Sport is a strong feature of our provision and our children would love someone who will embrace this too.

We're adding to a strong team who are committed to our school but also recognise the need for a good work/home balance.  We've created 'teams' of upper and lower school to share the planning load, already have planning in place for our foundation subjects and use carefully chosen schemes and established planning for maths and English to support teachers.

Essentially, we're looking for a new team member who...

  • loves working as part of a team but can also work on your own initiative
  • believes in delivering exciting, meaningful and well planned learning mapped to children's needs
  • has high expectations of children, adults you work with and yourself
  • values a relational approach to behaviour management
  • wants to develop professionally within an experienced staff
  • have strong KS2 experience

We may be a small school but we never sit still!  We're always looking to the future and how we can deliver better, stronger experiences for our children and memorable moments for our team.  We would particularly like to hear from anyone interested in leading maths or PE or computing but don't let this stop you applying if these are not your areas of interest or expertise!
