Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and ambitious experienced Year 5/6 LSA or HLTA to join our hardworking and friendly team to support the teaching in Year 5 and 6 in the mornings.

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is enthusiastic and proactive with a “can do attitude”
  • Is a good team player, with a good sense of humour 
  • Has a positive and kind approach
  • Has the understanding of children’s development and motivate them to learn
  • Has a good standard of English and Maths (GCSE)
  • Holds a relevant Level 3 or HLTA qualification or similar 
  • Is able to maintain confidentiality at all times and is aware of safeguarding procedures
  • Is able to support the learning of SEN pupils

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Teach whole class sessions or group work for Year 5/6
  • Supply in other classes if needed (if HLTA qualified)
  • Ensure the children complete learning tasks set by the class teacher
  • Assist the class teacher with assessment for learning
